we all want to tune our cars for the best it can be, iliminating detonation, maximize power, better ignition,and other stuff.....
but i dont see many people that talks about a cooling system on the SC cars. Doesnt any FI require some type of cooling system?(temp after blower particulary.)
the reason i said this is becasue i think my little sohc runs pretty well consider that is Sohc and is rated at 127 from the factory.
After i got the blower, i can now hang with my brothers such as NA Si or GSR. But still i think after awhile of driving, it looses HP and torque. When i Dyno my car, i got a max of 135 hp(the car has been sit for 1 hour). the Dyno place did a another run immediately after the first run adn i got a max power of 127 and toruqe loss as well. I think this is due to the heat creating from the SC.
See, most of the time when we dyno, our car are usually cold or at least not hot. We can only get a max HP when the car is cold, once it got hot we losse HP and lot of it. Is there anyway we can keep our SC cooler so we can have a constant Hp. And beside, doesnt the car retard even more when it see detonation? Doest heat genrate more detonation as well? Any one thought about the water injection?
